Douglas W. Taylor Sr. Esq.

Sole Practitioner
Tucson, Arizona

Originally from the State of Washington, I have called Tucson my home for more than 20 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the U of A (Go Cats!), and a law degree (Juris Doctorate) from Seattle University School of Law. I have successfully and competently practiced exclusively criminal defense litigation for 15 years now.

During my 15 years of criminal practice, I have very competently and successfully handled just about every type of criminal and/or traffic case that one could imagine: From petty offenses and small misdemeanors to serious complex felonies, and everything in between, I have seen and handled it all; from City to County to State to Federal cases; from simple cases like dog leash violations all the way up to homicide cases, I am the man that you want on your side fighting for your rights as a criminal defendant in today's justice system.

I have also successfully and competently handled a litany of other types of cases that surround the periphery of criminal defense work, including Appeals, Post-Conviction Relief (Rule 32) matters, bond forfeitures, civil property forfeitures (with or without a criminal arrest), juvenile delinquencies, felony out-of-state extradition (FW) cases, restoration of civil rights, probation violations/revocations, insanity and incompetency hearings, civil commitment proceedings, sentencing and mitigation hearings, felony no-bond hearings, sexually violent person (SVP) cases, as well as all manner of civil and criminal traffic tickets, just to name a few.

I focus and specialize in representing clients in primarily misdemeanor and felony DUIs, felony and misdemeanor Domestic Violence cases, drug cases, theft, shoplifting, burglary, and robbery, assault and aggravated assault, criminal driving on suspended license, minor in possession of alcohol, white collar crimes, fraud, fraudulent schemes and artifices, disorderly conduct, prohibited possessor and other gun offenses, dangerous crimes against children (DCAC) cases (e.g., child abuse, child neglect, sexual misconduct, etc.), homicide (1st and 2nd degree murder, negligent homicide), kidnapping, sex offenses, prostitution, trespass, criminal damage, arson, theft of means of transportation (auto theft), forgery, credit card fraud, false statements, false reporting and perjury, organized crime and terrorism, computer tampering, money laundering, postal offenses, alien smuggling, illegal re-entry, drug smuggling, bribery, interference with judicial proceedings (violations of protective orders and injunctions), witness tampering, animal offenses (animal cruelty, animal neglect, no food/water cases, etc.), harassment and stalking, explosives and illegal weapons, concealed carry cases, gambling, excessive medical marijuana growth, sale, transfer, possession and sales of marijuana, meth, heroin, other narcotics, cocaine, drug paraphernalia cases, obscenity, contributing to dependency/delinquency of a minor, to name just a handful of the types of cases that I am competent, skilled and experienced at handling.

If you have a question about a case, I am the man to talk to. I will personally take great care of you, and give you the time and competent representation that you deserve in your time of crisis. When you hire me, I am your lawyer, and I am the man that you see in court, in the office, and directly when you call me on the telephone for information and advice. I am local.
